What is BrandInAIAnswers?
BrandInAIAnswers tracks how AI answer engines mention your brand for the questions your buyers ask, who they name instead, and which sources they cite. For every prompt you lose it writes the fix: a content brief, a draft page, JSON-LD schema, an FAQ block or a rewrite of an existing page, then re-measures.
Which AI engines are checked?
Checked live today: Claude. Coming soon: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Meta AI (the app shows labelled sample data until each is connected).
Is BrandInAIAnswers free?
Yes. Every feature is free. The only charge is the vendor's price for live engine checks, paid from prepaid credit with no markup. Cached and sample answers cost nothing.
What costs money?
Only live answer-engine checks, at the vendor's list price per answer (shown on the pricing page). Top-ups are $10, $25 or $100 (or the same in rupees). Without credit, runs use labelled sample data and cost nothing.
How is visibility measured?
Visibility is the share of answers that name your brand. We also show position (order of first mention), share of voice, sentiment, and the 95% range of each visibility number, because AI answers change from run to run.
What does the action engine write?
For a prompt you lose, it builds context from the last 30 days (who wins, what engines praise, which sources they cite) and writes a content brief, a draft page, JSON-LD schema, an FAQ block, or a rewrite of one of your existing pages after a 9-point audit. Our own AI model on the Surge AI server writes it; templates are used if the model is unavailable.
How do I prove a fix worked?
Mark the fix as published with its URL, then press Re-measure. Every engine is asked the prompt again with the cache bypassed and the before and after visibility are recorded.
What is the citation outreach list?
A ranked list of third-party sites that AI engines cite in answers where competitors are named and you are not, each with a suggested pitch. Nothing is ever sent for you.
What does the free audit check?
Whether 17 AI crawlers may read your site under robots.txt, whether you have llms.txt, a sitemap, JSON-LD, meta tags, an FAQ and server-rendered text, with a score out of 100 and a suggested llms.txt. The answers section shows labelled sample answers until live checks are switched on for the public audit.
Can I track several countries?
Yes. Each brand has a main country and up to 4 extra markets. Each prompt is asked as a user in each country, and the dashboard filters by market. Each market counts against the 500-prompt limit.
Can agencies manage several clients?
Yes: up to 25 brands per workspace, unlimited seats, read-only client logins, white-label reports with your logo and colour, and shareable report links.
Is there an API?
Yes. A REST API with workspace API keys, CSV exports, a Looker Studio feed through Google Sheets, and an MCP server so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can read your visibility and draft fixes.
Can I see AI crawler visits and AI referral traffic?
Yes. Upload server logs or send a log drain to see 17 AI bots, and add a one-line script (no cookies) to count visitors arriving from AI engines.
Do you support Indian languages?
Indian-language prompts are built but switched off by default. The product works in English today.
Do you send emails?
Account emails (welcome, password reset, receipts), alerts you set up, and a weekly report only if you opt in. Every weekly report has an unsubscribe link.
Is prompt volume real search data?
No. Prompt volume is an estimate from a model, and it is labelled as estimated everywhere.
What is not built yet?
Live checks for the engines marked coming soon, GST invoices, Google sign-in, SSO and scheduled PDF reports by email are not available yet.
Where is my data?
The app and its database run on Surge's own servers in Bengaluru. Emails are sent through Resend, and live engine checks go to each engine's vendor.
